Job summary

PROENERGY is seeking a Material Handler to load, unload, and move materials within the facility and nearby sites. You will handle clerical duties related to shipping, receiving, inspecting, storing, and delivering a variety of materials, equipment, and supplies.

Reports to Fabrication Supervisor and works at 2001 Proenergy Blvd, Sedalia, MO. Responsibilities include counting, packing, and coordinating shipments, plus training junior staff and ensuring safe handling of high‑tech equipment.

Qualifications

• One year of shipping/receiving experience or equivalent.
• Technical competence (understand software, hardware, networks).
• Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.
• US work authorization is a prerequisite; company will not sponsor visas.

Responsibilities

• Count, weigh or measure items to verify against records and inspect for damage or shortages.
• Determine shipment method and prepare materials for shipping with appropriate forms.
• Provide on‑the‑job training and resolve problems using shipping/receiving knowledge.
• Operate material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks) to move stock.
• Assist with routing, counting and inspecting items during loading/unloading of trucks; deliver and return items.
• Transport high‑tech, high‑dollar equipment safely to customers and secure cargo.
• Fill orders and issue materials per requests; participate in purchasing standard stock items.
