Job summary

BorgWarner is seeking a Materials Associate to perform receiving, shipping, and storage duties in support of production operations. You will move materials using forklifts and pallet jacks, verify quantities against pack lists, and accurately report transactions in SAP.

The role requires the ability to handle physical material flow, adhere to safety policies, and work in a fast-paced environment. Prior forklift certification and RF scanning experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 6 months experience in fast paced industrial lean environment preferred.
• 1 year material handling in distribution preferred.
• Prior RF scanning experience preferred.
• Active forklift operator certification preferred.
• Ability to read, write and differentiate numbers.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload materials; verify against Pack Lists for accuracy.
• Pick parts for shipment and package per shipping procedures.
• Use pallet jacks, forklifts, order-pickers, and dollies to move products.
• Issue materials to departments and record transactions in the system.
• Monitor inventory and report discrepancies to the team lead.
• Stock replenishment, rotation, and cycle counting support.
• Adhere to FIFO and safety policies; operate equipment as certified.
• Load/unload materials into trailers following Dock Safety Protocol.
