Job summary

nVent is seeking a Mfg Material Handler to move, store, and distribute materials in a manufacturing setting. You will assist production by supplying components, restocking supermarkets, and preparing materials for shipping.

The role requires basic math, ability to read work instructions, and familiarity with manufacturing processes. Experience with warehouse equipment such as hand tools and forklifts is preferred.

Qualifications

• Warehouse/material handling experience preferred or related aptitude.
• Experience following work instructions.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Move materials to and from work cells, deliveries to manufacturing areas, and to shipping.
• Fill requisitions and distribute items to departments.
• Assist with preparation of material (cutting, labeling, unpacking, prepping raw material).
• Assess material availability and alert team leader to potential outages.
• Prepare finished goods for shipment and pack/unpack as needed.
• Read Inventory Control System inquiries to determine items to move or distribute.
