Job summary

METROHEALTH MEDICAL CENTER in Cleveland is seeking a supplies handler to receive, verify, stage and deliver supplies entering the facility and to store stock items in proper locations for delivery. You will prepare orders with accuracy and neatness.

You will respond to requests for needed supplies and returns, supporting warehouse operations and collaborating with staff across departments. Strong computer skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment are required.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or passage of a high school equivalency exam.
• Proficient in the operation/care of equipment normally associated with the department.
• Ability to perform detail-oriented tasks with a high degree of accuracy.
• Demonstrated skills in customer service.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Basic understanding of computer systems.
• Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds.

Biweekly Hours: 80.00

Shift: Monday - Friday 7am-3:30pm, alternating holidays

• Experience with the Lawson Inventory System, or other inventory system(s).

Physical Requirements

May sit, stand, stoop, bend, and walk throughout the day. May need to sit or stand for extended periods of time. See in the normal visual range with or without correction. Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction. Finger dexterity to operate office equipment required. May need to lift up to fifty (50) pounds. Ability to communicate in face-to-face, phone, email, and other communications. Ability to see computer monitor and read departmental documents.
