Job summary

Tyson Foods is seeking a Receiving/Labor associate to unload trailers, scan, weigh, and label products for the receiving cooler. You will help ensure 100% inventory accuracy during the production day and may back up the shag truck driver when needed.

This role requires the ability to work 1st shift (7:00 am – 3:30 pm) or 2nd shift (3:30 pm – 12:00 am) with a $2 shift differential for the 2nd shift; candidates must have a valid driver’s license and be able to obtain pallet jack and forklift

Qualifications

• Excellent attendance and punctuality
• Ability to obtain pallet jack & forklift certification
• Ability to learn to drive a shag truck
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Detail oriented
• Ability to work independently and multi-task
• Must have valid driver’s license
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to wear, use and maintain personal protective equipment
• Ability to follow all safety policies and procedures
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• 6 months of production experience preferred
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Ability to read the labels with product name and number

Responsibilities

• Scan incoming combos of product
• Weigh combos
• Communicate with Leadership about combo/trailer movement
• Ensure inventory is 100% accurate throughout the production day
• Keep the area clean
• Other duties as assigned, including but not limited to being a backup to the shag truck driver as needed.
