Responsibilities
- Attention to Detail: Minimize errors; ensure accurate documentation; perform quality checks on all outgoing and incoming shipments.
- Reliability (Attendance, Task Trustworthiness): Adhere to work schedules and be dependable in carrying out responsibilities to completion.
- Parts Order Pulling: Locate the correct parts based on the order details; stock Kanbans; ensure proper pulling, packing, and labeling of parts orders for shipping.
- Order Packing: Utilize spray foam and pre‑shaped foam inserts to secure items in shipping boxes; ensure that all items are packed to prevent damage during transit.
- Shipping Orders: Process UPS and FedEx domestic orders through the respective shipping software; ensure package labeling and postage are correct before dispatch.
- RMA Receiving: Unpack returned items, verify their condition, and initiate the RMA process in the system.
- Receiving: Receive supplier deliveries and verify them against purchase orders; inspect the condition of received goods and process them into inventory.
- Forktruck Operation: Safely operate forklifts for the movement of large and heavy items.
Education and Experience Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic understanding of shipping/receiving/warehouse processes.
- Previous lift truck experience preferred.
Skills and Abilities
- Organizational skills – ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
- Teaching ability – capability to teach others with compassion and an understanding that all people learn differently.
Working Conditions and Physical Demands
The Warehouse Technician position requires manual dexterity tasks, use of hand and small power tools; lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling heavy objects; ability to reach, bend, stoop, climb, or crouch; lift up to 50 lbs.; stand for extended periods; safely navigate lift trucks around others in a manufacturing environment.
