Responsibilities
- Safely operate Powered Industrial Trucks by securing material prior to handling or storing and by operating at reasonable speeds and control. Levels: Fork lift, Reach lift.
- Safely pull, process, and perform inspections of materials, supplies, tools, fixtures, and parts.
- Responsible for shipping, pulling orders and completing required paperwork.
- Move materials within the warehouse and assist in other warehouse activities as directed by Supervisor or Manager.
- Move freight, stock, and other materials to and from staging and processing areas.
- Monitor machinery and equipment operation to ensure all product meets performance specifications and requirements. Promptly notify supervisor of any quality or production issue.
- Maintain good housekeeping and regularly clean work area, machines, and equipment.
- Identify and contribute to continuous improvement efforts to reduce costs or increase productivity without reducing effectiveness.
- Maintain an open and candid working relationship with immediate supervisor/manager in discussing matters of importance.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) preventing incidents or injury to self or others.
- Adhere to established company values, practices, policies, and procedures at all times. Follow and support compliance with all applicable safety rules, laws, regulations, and standards.
- Demonstrate regular and punctual attendance at the assigned work location.
- The individual may be asked to perform other duties as requested.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Operate a computer — basic PC proficiency; Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and reporting software.
- Accurately multiply, divide, add, and subtract whole numbers to resolve practical problems.
- Wear/use required PPE (personal protective equipment).
- Learn and effectively operate equipment and work processes in accordance with standard operating procedures, including attention to details and be accountable, as necessary.
- Conduct required quality checks and tests. Visibly inspect equipment to detect any problems and make adjustments, as needed.
- Demonstrate good mechanical and operational understanding of equipment.
- Understand written instruction and complete appropriate documentation as directed. Able to read orders and labels without transposing part numbers.
- Use a logical approach to troubleshooting issues and prioritizing production needs.
- Recognize problems when they occur and to work toward the solution of those problems.
- Pay attention to details and pursue quality in accomplishing work duties and tasks. Look for opportunities to reduce costs or increase productivity without reducing effectiveness.

Minimum Experience, Education, and Certifications
- 1+ years of distribution experience or a satisfactory combination of education and experience that demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the above duties.
- Must be able to obtain forklift license through Highline Warren Distribution.
- Powered Industrial Truck Certification Preferred.
Physical Demands of Essential Functions
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Frequent pushing, pulling, reaching. Repetitive grasping and twisting with hands. Walking and/or standing up to 10 hours per day, 6 days per week if applicable. Ascend/descend stairs/ladders when getting in/out of fork truck and using ladders to access high shelves to put labels away and/or rearrange product. Perceive the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels and have the ability to exchange detailed information.
Environmental Conditions
The individual will be expected to work in a warehouse environment, which may include being exposed to work in high/precarious places, moving machinery, marked changes in temperature and humidity, and dust, odors, and fumes. Typical noise level is loud. Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment.
