Job summary

THREADED FASTENERS INC in the United States is seeking a Material Handler to accurately process customer orders, assist shipping/receiving, and support inventory counts. You will operate forklifts and hand carts, retrieve stock, inspect shipments for accuracy, and ensure orders are packed and labeled per SOPs.

The role requires attention to safety, basic math, and reliable teamwork. Full-time hours are Monday to Friday with possible overtime, in a warehouse setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of warehouse experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate a forklift, two-wheel hand cart, and scales.
• Retrieve stock to fulfill orders.
• Check outgoing and incoming shipments for accuracy.
• Check orders for accuracy.
• Inspect goods for defects and report damaged or defective material/product to the supervisor or sales staff; no damaged product will be sent out.
• Place compiled/completed orders in appropriate designated areas.
• Monitor the movement and progress of orders to ensure timely delivery.
• Order picking, packing, wrapping, labeling product, and shrink-wrapping orders that are palletized according to a standard operating procedure, following any special customer requests.
• Keep the work area clean, safe, organized, and maintained by following the 6 S's (Sort, Straighten, Shine, Standardize, Sustain, and Safety).
• Load finished products/orders onto trucks; transport stock from storage to warehouse or where needed; load/unload inbound or outbound.
• Open bales, crates, and other containers.
• Assist in counting physical inventory.
• Wear proper safety equipment and abide by safety rules at all times.

Summary/Objective

The Material Handler provides customer satisfaction in accurately processing customer orders, shipping, receiving intra-company transfers, and inventory counts.

Essential Functions

Work Environment

This job operates in a warehouse setting, with some outdoor exposure during the workday. This role routinely uses warehouse equipment such as forklifts, hand trucks, box cutters, and tape dispensers.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Typical days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the "core" work hours of 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Overtime is required as dictated by the workload.
