Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a forklift operator for first shift in a manufacturing facility. You will handle local delivery and core loading to vendors and managers in line with company policies and plant operations.

You will operate sit-down forklifts and other machinery, load and unload trucks, and ensure loads are centered and secure. Must be able to work outdoors in all seasons and adhere to safety protocols with PPE compliance.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and write.
• Experience operating a sit-down forklift and other industrial machinery.
• 2+ years loading/unloading experience and adherence to safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for local delivery and execution of core loading to vendors and managers.
• Operate a sit-down forklift and other industrial machinery (mobile column lifts, crane).
• Load and unload trucks to/from the facility with correct equipment.
• Ensure loads are centered and properly loaded for shipment.
• Track unit progress and know ship dates to ensure timely load outs.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and report hazards immediately.
