Job summary

Johnson Controls International plc. is seeking a forklift and material handler to move supplies, materials, and equipment between receiving, warehouse, and manufacturing areas. The role requires strong organizational skills and the ability to use SAP for material movements.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to organize work, meet deadlines and work with accuracy.
• Ability to operate standard computer and scanner equipment.
• Ability to safely operate dock equipment, forklift and pallet jacks.
• Working knowledge of SAP system for material movements.

Responsibilities

• Receive oral and/or written instructions from Supervisor and/or lead person.
• Receive, count, visually inspect, and verify part numbers on material and equipment.
• Monitor assigned queue for requested material from production and report discrepancies.
• Check material for defective conditions and report to Supervisor.
• Safely move material between the dock, warehouse and manufacturing areas.
• Record material movements in SAP Warehouse Management System.
• Conduct yard inventory, dock audit and cycle counts as directed.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on material handling equipment.
