Job summary

The Material Handler at Michaels is responsible for accurately and promptly transporting materials to and from workstations and racks, using forklifts, carts and pallet jacks, while following safety rules and meeting productivity standards. Candidates should have a High School diploma or GED and pallet jack experience, with forklift exposure preferred.

Expect a fast-paced manufacturing environment with high noise levels; strong reading, math, and English language skills are required.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to read, write and speak English fluently.
• Ability to read a tape measure and ruler; read calipers.

Responsibilities

• Transport materials to/from workstations and racks using forklifts, carts and pallet jacks.
• Meet or exceed productivity standards and attendance requirements.
• Support production teams as needed.
