Job summary

Astec is seeking a materials associate to support production by pulling and delivering parts, stocking inventory, and ensuring on-time availability of materials. You will operate a forklift when needed, verify items against orders, and help maintain accurate inventory in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Under supervision, you will load and unload shipments, develop and follow processes for materials handling, and communicate with internal customers to meet production schedules while

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 0-to-1-year related experience or training; or equivalent.
• Forklift knowledge is a plus, but not required.
• Computer experience required; ability to open/close files.
• Strong problem-solving and adaptability; able to work under deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Pull materials to fill orders.
• Load and unload materials.
• Operate equipment to move freight (forklift/crane inspections).
• Verify items against packing slips and process shipments.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and cycle counts.
• Communicate with internal customers and follow production orders.
