Job summary

Astec is seeking a motivated warehouse associate to support production materials flow. You will pull, load, unload, and organize materials, using forklift when needed, while maintaining accurate inventory records.

The role requires attention to detail and the ability to work with teammates in a fast-paced environment. You will verify orders, package items for shipment, and assist with loading Bills of Lading.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 0–1 year related experience or training.
• Forklift knowledge is a plus but not required.
• Computer experience with basic apps preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and adaptability.
• Effective communication and teamwork.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions.
• Ability to handle production pace and deadlines.
• Willingness to take feedback and rework tasks.

Responsibilities

• Pull materials to fill orders and load/unload materials.
• Move freight using forklift or equipment as needed.
• Maintain inventory levels and track materials.
• Verify items against packing slips and orders.
• Package materials for shipment and communicate requests.
• Develop loading bills and delivery forms.
• Locate and verify materials listed on production orders.
• Conduct daily forklift and crane inspections.
