Job summary

1-800-FLOWERS.COM, INC is seeking a warehouse receiver in Kentucky to unload and receipt product safely, compare pallet counts to the Bill of Lading, and document results with signed paperwork. The role requires basic reading and math skills and 3+ months of distribution/inventory experience.

Ideal candidates should be able to lift 20–50 lbs, work in varying temperatures, and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment. This position is full-time and on-site.

Job description

This position will ensure the accurate, timely and safe unloading and receipt of product and will compare and verify all material from assigned truck. This involved calculating the exact counts on each pallet and comparing these numbers to the Bill of Lading provided by each individual carrier. The receiver will document these numbers, sign the necessary paperwork, and is held accountable for any discrepancy thereafter.

Requirements

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

• Some high school education
• 3+ months of distribution/inventory experience preferred
• Basic reading and math skills required

PHYSICAL DEMAND AND WORK EFFORT

• Able to perform repetitive tasks (walking, bending, twisting and use of hands, wrists and arms)
• Able to lift 20-30 lbs. continuously and 50lbs. occasionally
• Able to work in varying degrees of temperatures (-10° to 40°)
