Job summary

1-800-FLOWERS.COM, INC is seeking a receiver to unloading and inspect shipments in Hebron, Ohio. You will compare counts to the Bill of Lading, document results, and sign off on paperwork, with accountability for discrepancies. Requires basic reading and math skills and some high school education.

Ideal candidate has 3+ months in distribution/inventory and can perform repetitive tasks in varying temperatures; continuous lifting up to 50 lbs may be required. E-Verify participation noted.

Job description

This position will ensure the accurate , timely and safe unloading and receipt of product and will compare and verify all material from assigned truck. This involved calculating the exact counts on each pallet and comparing these numbers to the Bill of Lading provided by each individual carrier. The receiver will document these numbers, sign the necessary paperwork, and is held accountable for any discrepancy thereafter.

Requirements

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

• Some high school education
• 3+ months of distribution/inventory experience preferred
• Basic reading and math skills required

PHYSICAL DEMAND AND WORK EFFORT

• Able to perform repetitive tasks (walking, bending, twisting and use of hands, wrists and arms)
• Able to lift 20-30 lbs. continuously and 50lbs. occasionally
• Able to work in varying degrees of temperatures (-10° to 40°)
