Job summary

Hubbell Incorporated is seeking a forklift operator to maintain efficient product flow at our North Carolina facility. This role involves operating forklift equipment, loading, unloading, and inventory tasks with strict safety adherence.

Responsibilities include pallet handling, trailer inspection, inventory documentation, and supporting production/shipping with material movement. Forklift certification is required and on-site training will be provided.

Qualifications

  • Must demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Interpersonal and organizational skills with written and oral communication.
  • Computer skills in Windows-based programs including Excel and Word.
  • Proven experience as a forklift operator.
  • Regular and predictable attendance is essential.
  • Forklift Certification Required.

Responsibilities

  • Transport goods using forklift, pallet jack, pushcart, etc.
  • Break down or repalletize products to order quantities.
  • Inspect trailers and contents for safety and guidelines.
  • Read production work orders/blueprints and assemble products as assigned.
  • Document and maintain inventory and keep production area organized.
  • Assist production and shipping with moving and relocating product.
  • Complete daily forklift inspection.
  • Conduct inventory of bulk materials and pallets.
  • Sort scrap and waste to proper dumpsters.
  • Report equipment problems or safety hazards to supervisors.

Job Overview

Responsible for performing physical tasks to maintain an efficient product flow, utilizing lean management principles, quality initiatives, and safety protocol, which will involve assembling, loading, storing, locating, documenting and distributing stock within areas as designated

A Day In The Life
  • Transport goods and supplies using forklift, pallet jack, pushcart, etc.
  • Break down or repalletize products to necessary order quantities.
  • Inspect trailers and contents to ensure they are safe to load/unload and all guidelines are followed.
  • Ability to read production work orders/blueprints and assemble products as assigned.
  • Documenting and maintaining inventory and ensuring production area organization and cleanliness.
  • Assist production and shipping with moving and relocating product.
  • Complete daily forklift inspection.
  • Conduct inventory of bulk materials and pallets.
  • Dump trash and pallets into proper roll off dumpster container.
  • Make sure scrap wood, cardboard must be separated and placed into proper roll off dumpster.
  • Recognize and report any equipment problems or defects to Supervisor and maintenance.
  • Recognize and report any safety problems, hazards, accidents, or incidents to management and safety committee.
