Job summary

Komori America Corp. is seeking a warehouse associate to support shipping, receiving, and inventory control. You will learn all warehouse operations, read orders, move items between receiving, storage, and shipping areas, and maintain accurate records using ERP/WMS systems.

The role requires basic computer skills, forklift certification, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Training on sit-down and reach truck will be provided. Flexible hours may be needed to meet customer needs.

Qualifications

  • Experience with warehouse operations and material handling.
  • Able to read orders and move items accurately.
  • Proficient with ERP/WMS and basic computer tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Learn the warehouse and operations.
  • Read customer/order/shipping requisitions to determine items to move.
  • Convey items from receiving area to storage or other areas.
  • Sort materials on racks or bins by size, type, or code.
  • Mark materials with identifying information.
  • Record received and distributed items.
  • Weigh/count items for distribution to meet standards.
  • Enter records and transactions into computer systems.
  • Prepare materials for shipping.
  • Maintain inventory and transaction records.
  • Maintain safety records and compliance.

Job description

Summary

Shipping, receiving, inspecting all materials, inventory, organizing and store materials in designated location, basic computer functions on ERP, operating forklifts, pallet jacks and any other material handling equipment and have communication with other departments and following above duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Learn the warehouse and everything associated with operations
  • Reads customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
  • Conveys materials and items from receiving area to storage or to other designated areas.
  • Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
  • Marks materials with identifying information.
  • Records number of materials or items received or distributed.
  • Weighs or counts items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards.
  • Uses computer to enter records and process transactions.
  • Preparing materials for shipping
  • Maintains inventory and other transactions records, including filing and document preparation.
  • Maintains and utilized related material compliance and safety records.
  • Ability and willingness to work flexible hours to meet company and customer needs.
  • Need to go above and beyond expectations; willingness to learn the business

Education/Experience

One to two years related experience or training.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software, Spreadsheet software, Order processing systems and ERP and WMS systems.

Certificates and Licenses

Forklift Operator; will be certified on Sit Down and Reach Truck
