Summary

The Materials Handler in Warehouse Operations is responsible for the receipt, storage, control, and distribution of raw materials, finished goods, and expensed items. This role involves executing receipt transactions via software, supporting inventory cycle counts, and providing materials handling support to various departments, ensuring safety and compliance. The position also includes sampling incoming materials and coordinating with testing laboratories.

Essential Functions

• Inspect, account for, and receive essential and non-essential materials.
• Resolve system issues related to materials operations.
• Handle radioactive materials following regulations and SOPs.
• Manage inventory transactions for raw materials, finished goods, and packaging components.
• Participate in cycle counting programs and ensure proper storage and segregation of products.
• Distribute materials across site using proper equipment, adhering to safety procedures.
• Collaborate with Planning and Procurement to resolve vendor receipt issues.

Sampling incoming components and materials according to SOPs and AQL requirements, maintaining strict documentation and segregation standards. Coordinate sample delivery with QC laboratories, understanding GMS and Quality Systems, and promoting safety practices.

Minimum Skills, Experience, and Education

• Associates Degree with 3-5 years of warehouse/materials experience, preferably in pharmaceuticals, with knowledge of relevant software systems.

Other Requirements

• Support for Lab watch Monitoring System for refrigerated storage.
• Ability to obtain and maintain forklift license and train others.
• Experience with cycle counting, inventory discrepancies, and safety training programs.
• Flexibility to handle changing priorities, technical skills, and working knowledge of electronic systems.
• Availability for overtime and weekend support as needed.
