Job summary

Optum in Arlington, WA is seeking a Materials Handler to receive, process, and restock shipments of medical and non-medical supplies. This is a full-time, onsite role with a 40-hour workweek, Monday through Friday, within the 6am–5pm PST window.

You will verify deliveries, label products, locate items, maintain stock records, handle returns, and help keep equipment in good condition. The job may require occasional overtime and occasional travel to other local locations.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
  • 1+ years shipping/receiving and patient care supplies preferred.
  • Must be able to drive a 20-foot box truck and obtain WA registration.

Responsibilities

  • Verify quantity and quality of incoming deliveries.
  • Label products and place them accordingly.
  • Identify and locate products during delivery process.
  • Maintain updated stock and inventory records.
  • Handle returns with proper documentation and communication.
  • Maintain material handling equipment in good condition.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

This position is Onsite. Our office is located at 17212 51st Avenue NE, Arlington, WA.

The Materials Handler will receive and process incoming shipments, goods and equipment for delivery. Deliver, inventory, organize, and restock inventory sites and patient care areas containing medical and non-medical supplies, linen and equipment.

This position is full-time (40 hours/week) Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 6am - 5pm PST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.

We offer on-the-job training for up to 2 months aligned to your schedule.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Verifying the accuracy of quantity and quality of incoming deliveries
  • Labeling every product and placing them accordingly
  • Identifying and locating the right products during the delivery process
  • Keeping a well-maintained and updated account of stock and inventory
  • Handling returns by completing technical documentation and other required communication
  • Keeping all material handling equipment in the best condition by conducting regular maintenance
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • 1+ years of experience in shipping /receiving and working with patient care supplies and equipment preferred; either in a central supply, surgery, or patient care area
  • Valid driver's license in the State of Washington
  • Willing to drive 20-foot box truck
  • Ability to float to our other 2 locations in Arlington and Everett as needed
  • Warehouse experience

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $16 - $29 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
