Job summary

Terracon is seeking a senior-level professional to supervise and monitor multiple projects within the Materials Testing department, ensuring timely delivery, client satisfaction, and adherence to company standards.

You will oversee proposal preparation, cost estimates, staffing, and annual business planning, while driving key metrics such as revenue growth and profitability. A strong focus on safety, quality, and risk management is essential to success in this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Science or Geology with 5 years’ practice experience, or 9 years’ related experience in lieu of a degree.
• Experience in preparing proposals and cost estimates is expected.
• Experience leading safety, quality, and project performance initiatives is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare proposals and cost estimates for clients.
• Engage in business development activities to identify and win opportunities.
• Develop staffing plans and oversee recruitment and onboarding with leadership support.
• Prepare and execute annual business plans for the specialty service group.
• Oversee revenue growth, staff chargeability, project billing and profitability metrics.
• Understand project risk and align with company risk policies.
• Lead safety efforts and model a safe work environment.
• Monitor and improve project quality and consistency in deliverables.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
