Job summary

IPG Photonics in Massachusetts seeks a motivated Material Handler to support production by receiving, moving, storing, and shipping materials and finished goods. You will follow work orders and schedules to ensure availability of materials and maintain accurate inventory.

Responsibilities include basic data entry, labeling, and safe handling, with forklift operation as certified, while sustaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret work orders, schedules, and instructions.
• Basic data entry and use of inventory systems.
• Accurately count, record, and organize inventory.
• Able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
• Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, move, and transport materials throughout the facility.
• Pick materials according to work orders and production schedules.
• Transfer materials between production areas, stockrooms, and shipping locations.
• Package materials and finished products per procedures and shipping requirements.
• Label and verify materials for inventory accuracy and traceability.
• Count, weigh, and record inventory movements in systems.
• Stage materials to support manufacturing operations.
• Coordinate movement of completed orders to shipping or other departments.
• Maintain inventory records with basic data entry.
