Job summary

Mac Fasteners Inc. is seeking a Material Handler 1 to efficiently move, store, and ship raw materials, WIP, and finished goods at our Ottawa, KS facility.

This on-site, full-time position supports production by ensuring accurate inventory and timely material delivery while maintaining safety and cleanliness standards. The role requires FIFO practices where applicable, attention to labeling, and cooperation with cross-functional teams to resolve shortages and discrepancies.

Qualifications

• Language and communication skills as described in the competencies.
• Basic math and measurement conversions.
• Ability to apply instructions and follow procedures.
• Proficiency with standard office and manufacturing software.

Responsibilities

• Receive materials from internal departments, customers, and vendors.
• Verify shipments against packing slips and PO/work orders.
• Maintain lot traceability and labeling requirements.
• Move materials to staging and storage locations for production.
• Deliver materials to production departments to support daily needs.
• Assist with cycle counts and physical inventory activities.
• Follow safety policies and housekeeping standards.
• Participate in continuous improvement and 5S initiatives.
