Job summary

Commercial Vehicle Group, Inc. is seeking a Material Handler to safely move materials throughout the manufacturing facility using forklifts and related equipment. The role supports continuous production flow by stocking and staging materials and ensuring accurate inventory records.

You will load/unload trucks, inspect deliveries, and collaborate with warehouse teams to minimize downtime while maintaining safety and organization on the floor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of manufacturing or warehouse experience.
• Valid forklift certification with safe operating history.
• Ability to lift 40 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic math, reading and computer skills (data entry, inventory systems).
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks and other material handling equipment to move, locate, stack and count materials.
• Load and unload trucks, inspect deliveries for accuracy and damage, and complete necessary documentation.
• Transport raw materials, components, and finished goods between storage, production, and shipping areas.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and perform cycle counts as needed.
• Stage material for production according to work orders and schedules.
• Follow safety protocols and company procedures to ensure a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment.
• Collaborate with production and warehouse teams to support workflow and minimize downtime.
• Perform basic equipment inspections and maintenance (e.g., forklift pre-checks).
• Assist in packaging, labeling and palletizing finished products as required.
