Job summary

Baxter International Inc. in Batesville, AR, is seeking a Material Support Person to keep materials and finished products moving through the facility. You will receive shipments, stock inventory, supply workstations, and prepare products for shipment while using material handling equipment.

You will collaborate with Production, Shipping, Receiving, and Inventory Control to maintain accuracy, support schedules, and on-time delivery. A safety-minded, detail-oriented approach is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Warehouse, material handling, shipping/receiving, or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Must have a current and valid driver's license.
• Must pass a tow motor (forklift) physical examination.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain certification to operate powered industrial equipment as required.

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming materials and place them in the correct storage locations.
• Pick materials from inventory to support production and customer orders.
• Package, crate, wrap, and prepare products for domestic and international shipment.
• Load and unload trucks, trailers, containers, and other transportation vehicles.
• Verify quantities and product information against shipping and receiving documents.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, order pickers, hand trucks, and other material handling equipment safely.
• Deliver materials, parts, tools, and supplies to production areas as needed.
• Keep materials flowing to workstations to help prevent production delays.
• Follow established processes when loading conveyor systems and preparing kits for production.
• Use inventory management systems and computer programs to locate, track, and transfer materials.
• Review reports and documents to determine inventory needs and material movement requirements.
