Job summary

Stryker Group on the production floor coordinates material flow to support production schedules and ensure inventory accuracy. The role supports the Materials Manager with daily operations, cycle counts, and ERP transactions to maintain GMP/GDP traceability and on-time delivery.

Key focus areas include reducing downtime, optimizing material handling, and cross-functional collaboration with planning, warehouse, and quality teams while promoting Lean initiatives and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum five (5) years relevant work experience in manufacturing, distribution, or logistics.
• Demonstrated ability to influence team performance and contribute to achieving production targets.
• Proven experience with cycle counting, inventory audits, and reconciliation, with the ability to investigate discrepancies and maintain a high level of inventory accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate material availability, staging, and delivery to support uninterrupted production and minimize production downtime.
• Promote inventory accuracy by supporting material movements, ERP transactions, and work order processes (backflushing, transfers, scrap, and completions).
• Assist in identifying and resolving inventory discrepancies through root cause analysis while supporting cycle counts, physical inventories, and audit activities.
• Leverage material usage trends and production demand insights to help optimize stocking strategies and align inventory levels with production plans.
• Reinforce proper material handling, storage practices, FIFO practices, and compliance with GMP, GDP, and traceability requirements.
• Serve as a cross-functional point of coordination between materials, production, planning, warehouse, and quality teams to ensure alignment and material readiness.
• Support the training and development of the Materials team, fostering accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
• Contribute to process improvement and Lean initiatives to enhance material flow, reduce inventory levels, improve space utilization, and enhance line-side efficiency.
