Job summary

Emerald Technologies is seeking a Production Expeditor to join its San Jose, CA team. The role focuses on monitoring supplier delivery performance to support production commitments and customer timelines.

You will follow up with suppliers, manage open orders, escalate material risks, and support recovery actions for shortages. The ideal candidate will coordinate with Suppliers, Buyers, Planners, and Manufacturing to ensure timely material arrival and quick issue resolution.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or a related field preferred.
• 0-2 years of experience in purchasing, supply chain, logistics, manufacturing, customer service, administrative support, or a related environment.
• Experience communicating with suppliers or customers is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor open purchase orders and supplier delivery commitments.
• Follow up with suppliers on past due, critical, and at-risk material.
• Update supplier commit dates and delivery information in company systems.
• Coordinate pull in requests and support order schedule changes.
• Identify potential delivery risks and elevate issues as needed.
• Pursue opportunities for partial shipments and expedited deliveries.
• Assist with freight recovery and premium transportation activities when required.
• Communicate material recovery status and supplier updates to internal stakeholders.
• Support shortage mitigation efforts to minimize production disruptions.
• Maintain accurate records of supplier communications and delivery commitments.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities focused on supplier performance and material availability.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
