Job summary

Aston Carter is seeking a Material Expeditor to ensure timely delivery of materials and services supporting operations and projects in a Columbus, OH area. You will track orders, coordinate with suppliers and carriers, and maintain ERP/MRP data to minimize disruptions.

Ideal candidates have a relevant degree or equivalent experience, 2+ years in supply chain roles, and strong Excel and data-analysis skills. This is a contract onsite role with standard daytime hours.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Associate degree with relevant experience as a minimum.
• 2+ years in supply chain, logistics, purchasing, planning, or materials roles.
• Experience tracking purchase orders, coordinating shipments, supplier communications.

Responsibilities

• Expedite purchase orders from placement through delivery.
• Monitor supplier performance and delivery commitments.
• Identify delivery risks and coordinate recovery actions to prevent delays.
• Collaborate with suppliers, carriers, warehouses, and internal teams for timely shipments.
• Resolve shortages, partial shipments, or quality issues.
• Maintain accurate ERP/MRP data and provide delivery performance reporting.
• Support inventory management and material availability for production and projects.
• Assist process improvements related to supplier performance and efficiency.
