Responsibilities

• Receives, examines and determines the condition and disposition of a wide variety of materials.
• Reviews disposal turn-in document accompanying material and compares data against property for accuracy and proper documentation.
• Visually inspects usable property for condition and acceptability.
• Determines condition and reportability and handling requirements and assigns classification for warehousing.
• Verifies demilitarization codes and maintains segregated storage of DEMIL items.
• Ensures proper certification is attached to turn-in documents when demilitarized.
• Performs special and periodic inventory and re-palletizes or re-locates property as needed.
• Operates forklifts and related handling equipment to move, load/unload and stack palletized materials.
