Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a motivated engineer for the Gas Power team to own the end-to-end mechanical testing programs. You will bridge lab data and product design to ensure new technologies are safe and efficient.

The role requires strong communication, data handling, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Relocation to Greenville, SC is provided if needed, and US work authorization is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Materials Science Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or related discipline.
• 0-2 years of relevant experience in engineering.
• Willingness to relocate to Greenville, SC and work in the US without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute mechanical testing programs including tensile, fatigue, creep, fracture toughness, and environmental exposure testing.
• Manage testing schedules, budgets, and vendor relationships for internal/external testing facilities.
• Analyze test data to extract material properties and identify trends.
• Perform microscopic evaluation of metallurgical structures of tested material to enhance prediction capability.
• Generate technical reports and presentations communicating test results, trends, and recommendations to stakeholders.
