Job summary

RTX is seeking a Materials Engineer to support a major Packaging and Handling assessment for Northeast facilities. The role evolves from evaluating materials and documentation to maintaining P&H requirements, COA review, and ensuring compliance. Strong analytical skills and hands-on lab experience are essential.

The position requires a STEM degree with lab experience, proficiency in Excel, and the ability to obtain/maintain a U.S. security clearance.

Qualifications

• Requires STEM degree with 2+ years of relevant experience or advanced degree in related field.
• Proficiency in Excel for data analysis, plotting, statistics, and technical summaries.
• Hands-on wet lab experience and ability to troubleshoot analytical instruments.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate drawings and specs to determine packaging/handling requirements based on material characteristics.
• Review material documentation and develop engineering-based recommendations.
• Document findings and support integration into coding and standards.
