Job summary

Primary Talent Partners is seeking a Materials Engineer II for a medical device client in Mounds View, MN. This 24-month contract offers $40.00–$50.00/hr on a W2 basis, with no PTO or benefits; ACA-compliant supplemental package is available for enrollment.

Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States and able to sit on Primary Talent Partners’ W2 without sponsorship. The role will analyze, design, and develop materials and fabrication processes; apply chemistry and physics

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Electro Chemistry
• Knowledge of materials interactions with body/environment and correlation of properties with product performance to predict failure modes
• Lab work experience

Responsibilities

• Analyzes, researches, designs and develops materials and related fabrication and application processes to optimize materials for use in engineering design of structures, systems and subsystems.
• Applies principles of chemistry, physics, and material behavior to develop metallic, nonmetallic and composite material and processing specifications, fabrication and assembly processes.
• Develops, analyzes and applies material properties and design allowables, processing and quality engineering specifications.
• Material analyses may include failure analysis of components, systems and subsystems, life predictions, and definition and requirement specifications.
• Review and approve subcontractor material processing procedures.

Primary Talent Partners has a new contract opening for a Materials Engineer II with our medical device client in Mounds View, MN. This is a 24-month contract with a potential for extension.

Pay

$40.00 - $50.00/hr; W2 contract, no PTO, no Benefits. ACA-compliant supplemental package available for enrollment. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must be able to sit on Primary Talent Partners W2 without sponsorship.

Description

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

• Analyzes, researches, designs and develops materials and their related fabrication and application processes to develop and optimize materials for use in engineering design of and/or application in structures, systems and subsystems.
• Applies principles of chemistry, physics, and material behavior to develop metallic, nonmetallic and composite material and processing specifications, fabrication and assembly processes.

Must Have

• Knowledge of Electro Chemmistry
• Knowledge of materials and interactions with the body and environment and ability to correlate material properties with product performance to predict various failure modes
• Lab work experience

Nice to Have

• Deep knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Laboratory Practices
• Experience of analytical techniques like HPLC, gas chromatography (GC), PCR, spectrophotometry.
• Knowledge and experience of Materials Characterization Techniques
