Job summary

Pow.bio in Torrance, California, is looking for a highly motivated Materials Engineer to support R&D and scale-up of ceramic matrix composites. This role involves hands-on fabrication and analytical responsibilities, contributing to high-performance aerospace parts development.

Ideal candidates will possess a degree in Materials, Mechanical, Aerospace, or Chemical Engineering, and have relevant familiarity with materials testing techniques. The position offers a chance to shape critical systems and engage in meaningful production workflows.

Qualifications

  • Familiarity with mechanical testing and metallographic mounting.
  • Must be willing to work extended hours and weekends.
  • Experience in hands-on engineering environments.

Responsibilities

  • Support composite layup, shaping, and densification operations.
  • Own all process QA data collection activities.
  • Conduct characterization activities of finished components.
  • Assist with various CMC component operations.
  • Perform inspection of composite materials.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation.
