Job summary

Chevron is seeking Materials Engineers to support the global operation of refineries, oil fields, pipelines, and chemical facilities. The Horizons program combines technical training and mentoring with on-the-job experience, offering two to three assignments in the first five years to build breadth and depth.

Not limited to a single location, roles may begin at domestic sites with opportunities for relocation and international assignments; relocation options are available and visa sponsorship is

Qualifications

• Students completing the last year of the requirements for their Bachelors, Masters, or Doctorate degree in Metallurgical, Materials, or Corrosion Engineering, or individuals with a Bachelors, Masters or Doctorate degree in Metallurgical, Materials, or Corrosion Engineering with two years or less directly related work experience.
• Strong academic performance in core programs, communication, leadership, teamwork and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to demonstrate The Chevron Way.

Responsibilities

• Material selection and corrosion problem resolution.
• Conducting failure analyses and researching solutions.
• Providing nondestructive examination support.
• Working with teams to optimize materials technology.
