Job summary

Chevron is a leading energy company blending traditional oil and gas with lower‑carbon technologies. Materials Engineering interns may work at Chevron’s U.S.-based refinery operations in ElSegundo, Pasadena, Pascagoula, Richmond and Salt Lake City, or with the Technology, Projects and Execution team in Richmond and Houston.

Mobility between locations is encouraged. Your duties include material selection, failure analysis, corrosion studies, and documenting internship learnings.

Qualifications

• Enrolled or graduating with a Bachelor’s, Master’s or Doctorate in Metallurgical, Materials or Corrosion Engineering.
• Strong academic performance in core programs.
• Excellent communication, leadership and teamwork skills.

What You Must Have

Compensation & Benefits

• Hourly rate: $28.25–$30.00 (≈$8,300–$9,000 monthly).
• Furnished housing.
• Participation in the Employee Savings Investment Plan with immediate vesting.
• Flexible work schedules (5/40, 9/80, or 4/10).
• Paid holidays and full year of service credit per internship completion.

Relocation Options

Relocation may be considered for qualified candidates.
