We are currently looking to recruit a Materials Engineer with expertise in physical metallurgy and diffusion-based process development for one of our clients based in Dallas, TX. Our client is a rapidly growing business in the advanced manufacturing and sustainable technology sector. The Engineer will play a critical role in guiding the business through its next phase of technology development, integration, and scale, with a specific focus on grain boundary diffusion (GBD) technologies.
This role will be involved in the development and optimization of advanced manufacturing technologies aimed at enhancing material properties through interface engineering, diffusion treatments, and tailored thermal processing. Working closely with laboratory, pilot-scale, and production teams, this position will translate fundamental materials understanding into scalable manufacturing solutions. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in returning an essential manufacturing capability to the US.
Some key responsibilities include:
The ideal candidate will hold a M.S. or Ph.D. in Materials Science & Engineering, Metallurgy, Physics, or a related field, with 1-5 years of hands-on experience in metallurgical or ceramic processing, heat treatment, and materials characterization. They will bring a deep understanding of materials thermodynamics and diffusion kinetics, along with a demonstrated ability to connect processing, structure, and performance. Candidates with experience in manufacturing will be viewed favorably. Familiarity with programming, modeling, or data-driven approaches to support materials understanding is a plus.
