Job summary

Kiewit is seeking a Materials Coordinator to coordinate and track project materials from procurement to installation support. You will work with Procurement, Construction, Warehouse Operations, Logistics, Suppliers, and Project Management to ensure materials are available when needed for project execution.

The role emphasizes accurate inventory records, monitoring deliveries, and supporting receiving and inspection activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in materials management, inventory control, logistics, or related fields.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and general computer literacy.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.

Responsibilities

• Track materials from purchase order release through delivery, receipt, storage, and issuance.
• Coordinate with Procurement, Construction, Engineering, Suppliers, and Logistics teams to align material availability with project schedules.
• Monitor material deliveries and communicate shortages, delays, or risks.
• Support receiving activities by verifying quantities and documentation against purchase orders and shipping records.
• Assist with material inspections and resolve receiving discrepancies and inventory issues.
• Maintain accurate inventory records, locations, and transaction documentation in company systems.
• Perform inventory audits, cycle counts, and physical inventory reconciliations.
• Coordinate storage, preservation, handling, and distribution of materials.
• Prepare and maintain material status and inventory reports and other project documentation.
• Support warehouse operations and material issuance processes.
• Assist in resolving logistics and transportation issues and ensure safety compliance.
