Job description

PCSI is looking for a Materials Coordinator (DMS) at Edwards AFB. A Materials Coordinator (DMS) reviews shipping manifests, purchase orders and DOD documentation to ensure proper receipt. This position will report to the project manager and is based at Edwards AFB.

Base pay of $37.45hr

What You'll Do as Materials Coordinator (DMS):
  • Review shipping manifests, purchaseordersand DOD documentation to ensure proper receipt.
  • Documentover, short, and damaged material and process frustrated receipts.
  • Monitorstock selection, packing and packaging, staging, segregation of shipment by marked destination, and shipment of goods of all kinds.
  • Coordinate andexpeditethe flow of material, parts, and assemblies within or between departmentsin accordance withproduction and shipping schedules, or department supervisors' priorities.
  • Review production material requirements and confer with maintenance supervision todeterminerequired or overdue materials andlocatematerial.
  • Requisitionmaterial andestablishdelivery sequences to departments according to job order priorities andanticipatedmaterial availability.
  • Validate,monitor, and coordinate the status of parts ordered and received, including due-in-from-maintenance (DIFM) assets.
  • Arrange for receipt and transfer of materials to meet production schedules.
  • Examine delivered materials to verify type and ensure specifications are met.
  • Monitor and compile reports of material quantities and types on hand.
  • Move, stage, and transport materials between departments or designated areas using hand trucks, industrial trucks, vehicles, or other material handling equipment asrequired.
  • Maintain, review, and analyze manual and computerized production, inventory, employee, andlogisticsrecords, reports, and listings;initiateappropriate actionsand recommend improvements based on data trends.
  • Process property turn-ins and coordinate vehicle scheduling, dispatch, packing, and delivery activitiesin accordance withestablished procedures and work schedules.
  • Identify, stage, and handle hazardous materialsin accordance withapplicable safety requirements, procedures, and directives.
  • May lead, guide, train, and evaluate assigned personnel, customers, or coworkers as needed, including providingproficiencytraining and supporting performance evaluation activities.
  • Perform routine duties with limited supervision and receive direction from supervisors, leads, or designated officials for non-routine assignments; serve as a first-level supervisor when assigned.
  • Conduct random quality control reviews and perform Chief Inspector duties as assigned to support compliance with applicable warehousing directives and program requirements.

What You'll Need:
  • Associates Degree in Business/Logistics or a related fieldrequired, or the equivalent combination of formal training and related work experience.
  • Minimum 5years of relevant work experience preferred.
  • Minimum5-level/Journeyman or equivalent in the 2S AFSC or 7-level/Craftsman in the 2A (Maintenance) AFSC with tool room experiencerequired.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Proficiencywith word-processing and integrated software applications.
  • Ability to use applicable hardware, software, and material handling equipment to support warehouse,logistics, reporting, and material movement functions.
  • Fully knowledgeable in all phases of receiving, storing, and shipping material.
  • Working knowledge of supply directives,establishedguidelines, process requirements, and technical supply management practices.
  • Ability to support multiple areas of supply, inventory, and warehouse management beyond a primary assigned function.
  • Ability toassistand communicate with others as needed andestablisheffective working relationships.
  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to define problems, gather and evaluate data,establishfacts, and recommendappropriate actions.
  • Ability to understand organizational requirements and support standardized technical supply operations within defined scope and complexity.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage routine work accurately and efficiently.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with CORsregardingMateriel Management functions of the PWS.
Other Requirements:
  • Ability to safely lift and carry at least 40 pounds.
  • Ability tomaintainclean, safe, and orderly work areas.
  • Ability to pass criminal, financial, drug, and driving screening.
  • Ability to workoutside ininclement weather as needed and be exposed to various dirt, debris, and odors.
  • Ability to be insured as an authorized driver for the Company.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and maintaingooddriving record.
  • Must qualify for andmaintainsecurity clearance and base access to assigned site(s).
