Job summary

nVent is seeking motivated individuals to join our manufacturing teams in Minnesota. You will help ensure production schedules are met by aligning parts with models, jobs, sequences, or work orders and by following progress along Fabrication and Assembly lines.

Ideal candidates will have a 2-year degree or equivalent experience, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, proficiency in MS Excel, and excellent planning abilities.

  • Strong skills in analytical thinking and problem solving, MS Excel, and various communication methods.
  • Planning and organizational skills required.

Responsibilities

  • Meet production schedules by matching parts to models, jobs, sequences or work orders.
  • Track progress of fabrication and assembly lines to completion.
  • Investigate pick-list issues, identify root cause, and drive corrective action.
  • Set and maintain component pick and delivery triggers in the ERP system.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure parts meet production schedules.
  • Maintain area inventory and trigger replenishment of components.

What You Will Experience In This Position
  • Ensure established production schedules are met by matching parts to their respective model, job, sequence or work order number.
  • Follow product progress to completion through its respective Fabrication and Assembly production lines.
  • Investigate and resolve component pick-list issues, determining root cause and driving corrective action as needed.
  • Set and maintain component pick and delivery triggers for assigned area in ERP system.
  • Work cross functionally with other departments to ensure manufactured parts are built and delivered to meet production schedules.
  • Maintain and organize area inventory, triggering replenishment of purchased and manufactured components.
You Have
  • 2 year academic degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Previous experience in manufacturing or materials required.
  • Strong skills in analytical thinking and problem solving, Microsoft Office Excel, and various communication methods.
  • Planning and organizational skills required.
  • Abilities to meet the physical and environmental demands of a manufacturing environment, constantly evolving business circumstances, and cross-functional teams.

Pay Transparency

nVent’s pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee’s work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.

Compensation Range

$17.20 - $31.90 Per Hour

Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual incentives.
