Raise is hiring a Materials Coordinator on behalf of a client to support purchasing, inventory control, and order fulfilment at our Portland facility.

The role focuses on coordinating material flow, validating transactions, and maintaining compliance with internal controls while supporting safety and environmental programs. This contract position offers exposure to industry-leading practices in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

  • Broad SAP knowledge preferred, including inventory management modules, posting transactions, and validating variances.
  • Strong organizational skills to track material replenishment and customer orders to ensure material flows meet needs.
  • Problem solving to troubleshoot invoicing issues and prioritize customer requests.
  • Basic Excel proficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Supports purchasing needs: requesting Purchase Orders, verifying invoices, purchasing materials, completing expense reports, and related troubleshooting.
  • Maintains awareness of product inventory and coordinates with customers, service, planning, logistics, and operations to keep orders updated and fulfilled.
  • Links site maintenance/operations with financial recording and reconciliation.
  • Upholds compliance with corporate controls, internal controls, and audit requirements.
  • Supports safety, health, environmental compliance, and site security programs.

Job description

Materials Coordinator
  • Pay Rate: $25 - $29/hour (on W2)
  • Contract Length: 12 months
  • Location: Portland, OR 97231

Raise is currently hiring a contract team member on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader.

Responsibilities
  • Supports the purchasing needs of the operation including, but not limited to, requesting Purchase Orders, verifying invoices, purchasing materials, completing expense reports, and relevant troubleshooting.
  • Maintains awareness of product inventory in the facility and actively interacts with customers, customer service, planning, logistics, and operations to ensure customer orders are updated and fulfilled as scheduled.
  • Acts as a key link between site maintenance/operations and financial/accounting requirements, ensuring all transactions are properly recorded and reconciled.
  • Responsible for upholding compliance with corporate control standards, internal controls, and audit requirements.
  • Supports the implementation and continuous improvement of company programs related to safety, health, environmental compliance, and site security.
Qualifications
  • Broad SAP knowledge preferred, including experience navigating inventory management modules, posting transactions, and validating system-to-physical variances
  • Organization skills, with the ability to track material replenishment and customer order requests to ensure material flows through the facility to meet customer needs
  • Problem solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot invoicing issues and prioritize customer requests
  • Basic Excel proficiency
