Responsibilities

  • Prepare and process outgoing shipments and support sample disposition activities.

Job description

We're hiring a Materials Coordinator in Salt Lake City to support laboratory operations in a regulated, fast-moving environment. This is a Monday through Friday role paying $18.00/hour where your attention to detail and organizational skills directly protect the integrity of critical scientific research. What You'll Do
  • Receive, label, track, and retrieve biological specimens and consumable materials using a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure proper storage of samples, including specimens stored at -20°C, -80°C, and refrigerated temperatures
  • Identify and document discrepancies, then communicate them to the appropriate team members to keep studies on track
  • Prepare and process outgoing shipments and support sample disposition activities
  • Keep laboratory workspaces clean, organized, and compliant with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Environmental, Health, and Safety regulations
  • Support Quality Assurance responses and contribute to ongoing process improvement efforts
  • Assist with training and development of team members based on your experience
What You Bring
Required
  • High school diploma or equivalent with 2-4 years of relevant work experience — OR — an Associate's degree in a science-related field with some experience (significant work experience may substitute for education)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to stay organized in a high-volume environment
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform tasks that involve standing, bending, and reaching throughout the shift
Preferred
  • Previous experience in a laboratory, Contract Research Organization (CRO), bioanalysis, or drug development setting
  • Familiarity with LIMS platforms or laboratory tracking systems
  • Exposure to handling regulated or hazardous materials with proper PPE protocols
Schedule & Shift

Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Occasional overtime and weekend work may be required based on business needs.

Pay & Compensation

$18.00 per hour
