Job summary

Amtrak is seeking a Supervisor Material Control in Washington, DC to administer and reconcile cycle inventory and ensure proper record integrity for rolling stock maintenance. You will oversee materials management resources, personnel and systems to support efficient operations.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree with 6+ years of relevant experience and strong SAP/Ariba knowledge, along with Microsoft Office proficiency.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent plus relevant experience.
• 6+ years of materials management or inventory control experience.
• SAP/Ariba or equivalent system knowledge and proficiency in CFR-49 safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Supervise receiving, warehousing, issuing and distribution of materials for repair and maintenance.
• Monitor inventory levels and perform adjustments as needed.
• Implement corporate policies for scheduling, shipping, receiving, and expediting.
• Interface with customers, vendors and internal teams; train staff on SAP, Exacta and CFR-49.
• Oversee warehouse operations and warranty programs.
