Job summary

Stadler Rail AG in California seeks a Warehouse Material Manager to run inventory, purchasing, receiving, storage, and material forecasting for a DMU/ZEMU maintenance facility. This is a hands-on, sole-operator role that owns the shop's inventory.

You will generate purchase orders, track orders, maintain bin locations, and prepare monthly reports. Coordinate with vendors on pricing, lead times, back orders, and returns to keep maintenance on schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Ability to generate purchase orders, inventory reports, and material-tracking spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate electronic inventory records and monitor stock levels.
• Generate purchase orders and track orders through delivery and receipt.
• Coordinate with vendors regarding pricing, lead times, back orders, and returns.
• Prepare monthly inventory reports showing current and adjusted inventory, usage, and upcoming requirements.
• Perform cycle counts and physical inventory checks.
