Job summary

Kearfott Corporation, a leader in precision motion control and inertial navigation components, is seeking a Materials Control Specialist I to support Shipping and Stores. You will handle outbound stockroom duties and shipping clerk tasks to ensure timely and accurate product shipments.

The role requires attention to detail, ability to work independently and in a team, and proficiency with ERP systems. We offer a 9/80 work schedule with every other Friday off, plus tuition reimbursement and

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 2 years experience in shipping/receiving or stockroom/inventory required.
• Detail oriented with ability to research and resolve discrepancies.
• Ability for occasional heavy lifting (up to 50lbs).
• US Citizen required.

Responsibilities

• Receives material into stockroom and packs/stores per procedures.
• Maintains order of parts in stockroom and documents in ERP System.
• Performs cycle counts based on system generated reports.
• Maintains stock balances for ship dates.
• Organizes parts and pertinent documentation as per picklist for shipments.
• Maintains up-to-date labels and barcode information.
• Tracks parts approaching end of shelf life and informs relevant teams.
• Assists other departments with shipping information as needed.
• Performs other tasks directed by Management to satisfy company objectives.

Position Description

The Materials Control Specialist I is responsible for performing various duties and activities required to support Shipping and Stores departmental functions and objectives. This role will include various outbound stockroom duties and shipping clerk duties to help expedite and ensure proper shipping of finished products.

Essential Functions

• Receives material into the stockroom. Packs and stores per written procedures.
• Maintains order or parts in stockroom and document files, including in ERP System.
• Work independently to perform cycle counts based on system generated reports.
• Maintain stock balances for ship dates.
• Organize parts and pertaining documentation as per picklist upon due date of shipments.
• Maintain up-to-date labels and barcode information.
• Track and advise of parts coming to end of shelf life.
• Assist other departments in plant with shipping information.
• Assist other shipping, receiving, and/or stockroom employees as necessary.
• Performs any other tasks directed by Management to satisfy company objectives.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 2 years experience in shipping/receiving or stockroom/inventory required.
• Candidate must be detail oriented and have the ability to research and resolve discrepancies.
• Ability for occasional heavy lifting (up to 50lbs).
• Ability to visually identify and physically handle sensitive/small components.
• Must be a US Citizen.
