The Configuration Management Specialist is responsible for maintaining the integrity, accuracy, and traceability of engineering documentation throughout the product lifecycle. Working closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Program Management, this role manages engineering changes, document revisions, and product configuration records to ensure that all released documentation is accurate, controlled, and available to stakeholders.
The Configuration Management Specialist administers document control processes, coordinates Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and Revision Notices (RNs), maintains product data within IFS and other PLM/ERP systems, and ensures engineering documentation follows a controlled lifecycle from initial release through revision and retirement. This role helps prevent manufacturing errors, supports quality and regulatory compliance, and maintains complete audit trails by ensuring employees are always working from the latest approved documentation.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in New Jersey is $70,000 - $100,000 Annually. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to job-related knowledge and skills, experience, and internal consistency.
