Job Function:

Reporting to the Quality Manager, the Production Control Coordinator (PCC) is responsible for flow of materials, parts, and assemblies beginning from the receiving dock, throughout various departments, to outside vendors, and complete to customer, in accordance with customers' delivery requirements. The PCC must have critical attention to detail and supports manufacturing efficiency by ordering, storing, issuing, and maintaining all hardware and tools used in the manufacturing process. The PCC will be responsible for verifying all documentation is accurate and complete, communicating delivery information internally and externally, maintaining supplies, and other duties. The PCC will also transport product, as needed, to meet customer deadlines, and adhere to AS9100 and other quality standards.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Communicating effectively with shop personnel to ensure timely service and prevent machine down time
  • Maintaining accurate inventory records and transactions
  • Documenting machine parts usage and ordering
  • Stocking shelves/cabinets with incoming parts
  • Cleaning and organization of stock room
  • Managing fixtures, tags, and revisions
  • Assigning and checking in/out equipment to employees (borescopes, indicators, toolboxes, etc.)
  • Ordering supplies through the web utility
  • Assisting Receiving with paperwork/count discrepancies
  • Receiving, storing, and issuing consumables to employees
  • Gauging calibration management
  • Scanning paperwork to electronic archives as needed
  • Performing miscellaneous duties and projects as assigned and required
  • Package and ship hardware per customer or internal instructions
  • Manage deliveries and receipt of materials
  • Incoming inspection of hardware
  • Facilitate movement of hardware to areas
Requirements:
  • At least 1 year material handling or manufacturing experience
  • Must meet ITAR definition of US Person(s)-Documentation Required
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent - Documentation Required
  • Record, track, and maintain documents, data, and records for inventory management and part flow
  • Outstanding organization skills, detail orientation, time management, and communication skills
  • Basic computer navigation and data entry skills
  • Ability to organize, verify, and schedule outgoing shipments
  • Accurate and competent use of all equipment related to inventory management, shipping and receiving
  • Ability to meet critical deadlines and work in fast paced environment
  • Familiar with MS Office software (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.).
  • Participate in cross-training efforts interacting with other departments to acquire additional skills and knowledge
  • Ability to transport product using 26,000 lb. box truck, company vans, or other similar vehicles
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license, proof of insurance, and an acceptable driving record
  • Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions
  • Must be able to write and document information clearly
  • Must be a self-starter and be able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Must be able to perform overtime when necessary, including weekends when required
  • Perform miscellaneous duties and projects as assigned and required
  • Must have the ability to communicate verbally and in writing in English
  • MTI is a safety sensitive manufacturer. As such, successful results of pre-employment drug testing will be required.
  • 1-3 years’ material handling or manufacturing experience
  • Familiarity with MPCS is a plus
  • Experience working in a Quality System certified to ISO9001, AS9100, or Nadcap a plus
Physical Demands/Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, move throughout the facility, bend at the waist and knees, squat, use hands, reach with hands and arms, and communicate. The employee must frequently lift/or move 35 pounds, and up to 50 pounds on occasion. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment may be loud. Must be able to use required personal protective equipment. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
