Job summary

Howmet Aerospace in Whitehall, MI is seeking a Material Control Processor to join Plant 4, Thermatech. The position trains on days and will transition to 3 - 12-hour shifts: 6:00AM to 6:00PM (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) OR 4 - 10-hour shifts: 6:30am - 4:30PM (Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday).

The role will handle shipping/receiving, documentation, inventory, and backup support for the Shipping Department, with duties including export control paperwork and hazardous waste manifests.

Qualifications

• Required Qualifications: High school diploma or GED; minimum of two years of work experience or six months continuous manufacturing experience; US work authorization; visa sponsorship not available.
• Preferred Qualifications: experience in shipping/receiving in manufacturing; MS Office proficiency; good oral and written communication; adaptable to changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare shipping and receiving documentation, including export control docs.
• Receive materials and enter orders.
• Maintain hazardous waste manifest log.
• Conduct physical inventory and support Shipping as needed.
