Position Overview

This position is responsible for supervising and ensuring the proper completion of the certification of materials incorporated into projects within the districts utilizing any state or federal funds in relation to but not limited to the Construction and Materials Management System (CMMS).

Essential Functions
  • Provides accurate and timely documentation relative to Certification and Quality Control procedures.
  • Assures accurate and timely entries of documents and data into the Construction and Materials Management System (CMMS) platform.
  • Provides training, expertise, and guidance to various other bureaus, outside agencies, and internal staff relative to the materials certification requirements and procedure within the CMMS.
  • Supervises, trains, and motivates subordinate personnel.
  • Performs duties in compliance with departmental safety rules. Performs all duties in a manner conducive to the fair and equitable treatment of all employees.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Completion of two years of college in civil engineering technology; pre-engineering or a job related technical/science curriculum PLUS five years of engineering experience; OR Seven years of engineering experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of Construction and Materials Management System (CMMS).
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
