Job summary

Cybotic System is seeking a mid-to-senior engineer with strong Materials & Processes (M&P) expertise to contribute to complex aircraft development projects.

You will support design, analysis, and liaison engineering, coordinate engineering plans, and ensure M&P specifications are current. The role requires onsite work and compliance with ITAR regulations, with broad collaboration across Powerplant, ECS, Structures, Electrical, and Mechanical teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering is mandatory; advanced degree preferred
• 5+ years in a specific technical discipline or 10+ years across multiple engineering disciplines
• Must be onsite full-time and ITAR qualified (U.S. export control)

Responsibilities

• Support design, analysis, and liaison engineering for products
• Contribute to planning and coordination of engineering projects
• Provide specialized technical assistance to team members
• Use advanced techniques to solve difficult engineering problems
• Develop independent approaches balancing cost, schedule, and technical product
• Act as liaison with external representatives
• Generate and communicate technical requirements to suppliers and internal teams (Powerplant, ECS, Structures, Electrical, Mechanical)
• Select materials suitable for pressurized and unpressurized environments
• Knowledge of environmental regulations affecting materials (REACH, TSCA, EPA)
• Revise and maintain M&P specifications

Core Requirements

• Experience:
• 5+ years in a specific technical discipline, or
• 10+ years across multiple engineering disciplines.
• Role Purpose: Support design, analysis, and liaison engineering for products. Contribute to planning and coordination of engineering projects.

Technical Skills & Responsibilities

Engineering Contributions:

• Provide specialized technical assistance to team members.
• Use advanced techniques to solve difficult engineering problems.
• Develop independent approaches to solutions balancing cost, schedule, and technical product.
• Act as liaison with external representatives.
• Generate and communicate technical requirements to suppliers and internal teams (Powerplant, ECS, Structures, Electrical, Mechanical).
• Select materials suitable for pressurized and unpressurized environments.
• Knowledge of environmental regulations affecting materials (REACH, TSCA, EPA).
• Revise and maintain M&P specifications.

Tools & Systems:

• Experience with Smarteam and Catia for design review and workflow management.
• Testing & Documentation:
• Produce EAR-approved test plans and reports.
• Demonstrated success with Material Review Board (MRB) integration.

Other Requirements

• Must be onsite full-time.
• Must be legally qualified to work on ITAR projects (U.S. export control compliance).
• Ability to stay updated with new developments in aircraft engineering and recommend innovations.
• Work under limited supervision, with authority to make independent technical decisions.
