Overview

Hayden Industrial, a leading manufacturer of industrial cooling systems, is seeking a Material Analyst to support our Tulsa, OK facility. This role is responsible for ensuring material availability, accuracy, and coordination for work orders to support production schedules and on-time delivery.

The Material Analyst analyzes bills of material (BOMs), tracks material and outside processing, and collaborates with planning, purchasing, and operations teams. This position ensures materials and subcontracted services are properly planned, issued, and costed throughout the lifecycle of each job while proactively identifying and communicating risks that may impact production.

Key Responsibilities

Material Planning & Analysis:

Analyze work order BOMs to verify material availability and required delivery timelines. Ensure inventory availability or timely delivery of materials to support production schedules. Identify material shortages, delays, or discrepancies and coordinate with purchasing to resolve. Track material deliveries, confirm receipt dates, and follow up on late or at-risk items. Expedite materials or identify acceptable alternatives in coordination with purchasing.

Work Order & BOM Management

Review BOMs prior to release and validate alignment with planning requirements. Adjust BOMs to ensure accurate material issuance to jobs. Ensure all materials and services are properly issued prior to job closure. Verify outside processing and subcontracted services are accurately reflected with correct costing.

Communication & Coordination

Communicate material risks, constraints, and schedule impacts to stakeholders. Participate in meetings to provide material status updates. Collaborate cross-functionally with planning, purchasing, and operations to support job execution.

Month-End & Data Accuracy

Perform month-end activities to ensure accurate material issuance and job costing. Maintain accurate material, vendor, and cost data in ERP systems. Support data integrity across material planning and purchasing systems.

Qualifications

Education:

Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience.

Experience

Required: 2–5 years of experience in material planning, analysis, inventory control, or related role. Experience in a manufacturing or production environment. Experience working with BOMs, work orders, and inventory systems. Experience using ERP systems and Excel for material tracking and analysis.
Preferred: Experience coordinating with purchasing, planning, and external vendors. Experience with outside processing or subcontracted work. Experience supporting production scheduling or job costing.

Skills & Competencies

Required: Strong understanding of BOMs, material flow, and inventory processes. Analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Effective communication and cross-functional collaboration. High attention to detail and data accuracy.
Preferred: Experience with ERP systems such as CrescentOne, SAP, Oracle, Epicor, or similar. Familiarity with continuous improvement concepts.

Success Measures (KPIs)

Material availability to support on-time job release. Reduction in material shortages and delays. Accuracy of BOMs and material issuance. On-time completion of outside processing. Accurate and timely job closure and costing.

Supervisor Responsibility

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

This role operates in a manufacturing environment with both office and plant floor responsibilities. Standard office equipment is used. In the manufacturing facility, required PPE includes hearing protection, safety glasses with side shields, and OSHA-compliant safety footwear.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those required to perform the essential functions of this job.
This position involves extended periods of sitting and computer use, with occasional movement throughout the office. On the production floor, the role may require standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Vision requirements include close, distance, color, and depth perception.

Position Type/Expected Hours Of Work

This is a full-time, exempt position. Typical hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
