Job summary

Yanfeng Global Automotive Interiors seeks a Materials Analyst (Architecture) to ensure timely delivery of orders, optimize freight and inventories, and implement robust production scheduling and logistics processes. The role includes developing the materials team, solving issues, and supporting warehouse layout and transportation optimization.

Travel to customer sites and manufacturing plants is required. Automotive industry exposure is preferred.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in materials or related field.
• Less than 1 year of automotive industry experience.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites and manufacturing plants.

Responsibilities

• Ensure on-time delivery of customer orders and materials acquisition.
• Optimize freight and inventories to reduce costs.
• Implement production scheduling, logistics and inventory control to ensure material availability.
• Select, motivate, train, and develop a competent materials department and staff.
• Anticipate and resolve problems with short-term and permanent corrective actions.
• Assist with warehouse layout and execution.
• Manage economical inbound/outbound transportation routes and look for consolidation opportunities.
• Understand and apply Quality, EHS, Product Safety, Compliance, and IT/Information Security requirements.

• Ensure on-time delivery of customer orders and acquirement of materials.
• Optimize freight and inventories.
• Implement, production scheduling, logistics and inventory control processes which ensure the availability of materials for an uninterrupted flow of production in accordance with delivery schedules, while maintaining minimum inventories.
• Select, motivate, train, and ensure development of a competent department and materials handling staff.
• Anticipate and resolve problems with short-term and permanent corrective action.
• Assist with warehouse layout and execution.
• Daily walks verifying material is stored in the proper location.
• Assist with the management of the most economical inbound / outbound transportation routes, looking for opportunities to combine shipments, milk runs, and warehouse consolidation and distribution.

• Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS): Understand, apply and meet all function-related EHS requirements.
• Product Safety: Understand, apply and meet all function-related Product Safety requirements.

Qualifications

• 1 -3 Minimum Years of Experience.
• Less Than 1 Minimum Years of Experience within the automotive industry.
• Must be able and willing to travel and work at customer sites, including industrial manufacturing plants which might require climbing, lifting, or working in confined spaces.
